Mavic Pro

The DJI Mavic Pro is a small but powerful drone that turns the sky into your canvas in a simple and carefree way, helping you to make every moment an aerial moment.

How are the Mavic and the Phantom 4 different?
The Mavic is smaller, lighter and easier to transport thanks to its folding design. Its new OcuSync transmission system has a longer range and reaches 1080p resolution. Due to its larger size, the maximum speed of the Phantom 4 is higher and can withstand stronger winds.

Does the folding mechanism wear out? Will it need to be replaced?
The folding mechanism proved to last for at least 5000 folds. It is unlikely to wear during the lifetime of the Mavic.

How are the Mavic and Phantom 4 cameras different?
The two cameras have the same functions, but the Mavic's camera has a smaller field of view, so it can focus up close to 0.5m and can rotate 90º to take pictures and selfies with portrait format. The field of vision of the Phantom 4 is greater, so it is better prepared to take panoramic images.

Is the Mavic Pro water resistant?
No. Because the Mavic's chassis is close to the ground, you should only take off and land in appropriate areas that are smooth and free of puddles.

How do you activate autofocus on the Mavic Pro camera?
The focus is essential to capture clear images. To activate autofocus:

  1. Touch the screen on the camera interface of the DJI GO application.

  3. Focus on the center by clicking on a customizable button. The designated by default is C1 and can be used in normal flight or during any of the Intelligent Flight Modes.

When I use the manual focus mode my pictures are blurry even when I slide the switch all the way to infinite focus. Why?

The Mavic remote control uses OcuSync transmission technology, giving it a range of up to 7km (4.3mi) in the open field without interference, according to FCC regulations. Using the smartphone via Wi-Fi, the range is 80m and the maximum altitude of 50m, making it more appropriate for short-range use and selfies, as well as to configure ActiveTrack. You can also download Wi-Fi photos and videos directly from the Mavic to your mobile device. You can choose between Wi-Fi and RC mode, as needed, by sliding the Control Mode switch on the right side of the aircraft.

The 5G frequency is less prone to interference because there are fewer devices with 5G, but not all phones are compatible with it. You can switch between the two bands in the Wi-Fi Settings menu of the DJI GO application.
